Earth-bound thinking - a reliance upon the things of this earth rather than on the resources of heaven - is a constant tendency for Christians and churches, and Satan likes nothing better than to trap us in this way.
We live in a time of many false gospels. We find them in the world, and often we also find them in the visible church. We need to be absolutely clear on the content of the Gospel message that we are to proclaim to our lost friends and neighbors. And so today, we hope you will stay tuned for an important study.

On this Easter Sunday weekend we're taking a break from our series of messages in Colossians for a special message from First Corinthians chapter 15 titled, "The Essence of the Gospel."
Christian, are you becoming spiritually mature? What does it mean to become spiritually mature? Where is spiritual maturity to be found? Does it come easily, or does it involve struggle?
The Bible tells us that counterfeit authority is the foundation of man-made doctrines. What kinds of counterfeit authorities were at work in Colosse at the time the Apostle Paul wrote to the church there, warning believers to remain free from the tyranny of man-made doctrines? Stay tuned for the answer, as we continue our series titled "Truth Above All" from Colossians chapter two beginning at verse eighteen.
What does the Bible mean when it tells us that all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily in Jesus Christ? How is this possible? How did it come about?

Why is this fact about the Lord Jesus Christ so important in the Apostle Paul's instructions to us about the need to stand firm against Satan's triple threat to the church?

The answers to those questions will be our focus today as we continue our series of studies in Colossians chapter two, titled "Truth Above All".
As we conclude the message we began on our last broadcast, we shall see that El Shaddai, God Almighty, not only has a grand plan that extends from before the creation of the world all the way into eternity - He also has a personal plan for each believer in Christ.
When we first began the Scripture-Driven Church broadcast several years ago, the first ten messages we produced were a series titled "What Does It Mean To Be A Scripture-Driven Church?" Some of the archived recordings of that series are of rather poor audio quality. But even so, over the years it has been the most-listened-to series in our archive, and also the most-request resource on CD.

Today we present the first message in an updated version of that series. We have added new content to the messages, and of course the audio quality is much improved. We hope this series will be a blessing, encouragement, and challenge to you.

Message number one explores the crisis state of the Evangelical church, in which the Bible has become, as one magazine puts it, "The Greatest Story Never Read."
Christian, is your thinking and living earth-bound, or heaven-bound?
Who is Jesus Christ? Who was He when He was on this earth? Who was He before He came? Who is He now? There is a great deal of confusion and misunderstanding in the church today concerning these vital questions. We must be sure of the answers, on the authority of the Word of God alone. Stay tuned today as we find those answers, as we continue our study of the book of Colossians, in chapter three.
Does Jesus Christ the firstborn have "the preeminence" -- first place in your thoughts and actions -- this Christmas?
