In Colossians 3:5 we find one of the most striking commandments in the entire Word of God.
What is being changed through the blood of Christ's cross? Paul gives us the answer: "All things" - both in Earth and in Heaven.
This month on The Scripture-Driven Church broadcast we're remembering the Protestant Reformation. One of the key truths that the Reformers recovered from Roman Catholic darkness is the doctrine of the priesthood of all believers, through the intercession of the one Mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus.

Every believer has the priceless privilege of access to the very throne room of the Father through the mediation of the Son. This is God's precious gift of rest for every believer. We are to rest in the intercession of Christ. He does for us what no earthly priest, Levite or Catholic, could possibly do.

This week we present part one of a two-part message focusing on this glorious truth.

What is the nature of Scripture -- the Book that we hold in our hands? How are we to use the Bible in our daily lives, and in the life of the church?

These are critical questions for the church in all ages, and they are especially critical in the times in which we live. There is a great deal of confusion about these two questions in the church today, and many wrong answers are widely circulated. We need to be sure of the right answer.
Is it possible for a true Christian to have a theoretical understanding of the Bible, but yet the Scriptures never change that person's life?
Today we are witnessing a return to legalistic ceremonialism and ritualism in the worship of some Evangelical churches. This is especially true in Reformed churches today. The smells, bells, lamps and candles of the Old Covenant and Romanism are reappearing.
We are continuing our study of counterfeit authority as the root of man-made doctrines, as we find this in Colossians chapter two. In the long history of the church, one great counterfeit authority dominates the scene - that of the Roman Catholic church. No entity has accumulated and exercised more counterfeit authority for a longer span of time than the church of Rome. No visible church has propagated a greater body of man-made doctrines than the church of Rome. On what does Rome base its authority? What does Scripture say in response? Was Peter the "rock" on which Christ built His church? Stay tuned for the answers to those questions as we continue our series, "Truth Above All", in Colossians chapter two.
Roman Catholicism commands the worship of four things that God never commanded in Scripture. What are those four things? Why does Rome command such counterfeit worship? Why is it wrong - why is it spiritually disastrous - according to Scripture? Stay tuned for the answers as we continue our study of Colossians chapter two.
What is one of the surest ways for the individual believer, and the church as a body, to put up and keep up a strong battle front against Satan's attacks on sound doctrine?

The answer centers on a word we find in Colossians 2:7 - "abounding". Christians are to abound in the true faith in the true Christ of the Bible.

What does it mean to abound in the faith? How does this protect believers against Satan's doctrinal trickery? We'll answer those questions in this broadcast as we continue our series of messages from Colossians chapter two titled "Truth Above All".
