Have you ever been troubled by this question: "If I'm truly saved, if the Holy Spirit really lives within me, why do I still have such struggles with sin?"
Christian, you need to recognize that this question contains an implied lie of Satan -- that if you still have such struggles with sin, it means you're not really saved. Today we're going to see the Bible's answer to Satan's lie, as we conclude a two-part message titled, "Satan's If Vs. God's Amen."

What does Paul mean when he says, "if you continue in the faith"? Is this a hypothetical case - something that might happen, or might not?
Colossians 2:18 tells us that the person who seeks to bring counterfeit doctrines into the church is "intruding into those things which he has not seen." What does this say about the nature of spiritual intruders? How are Christians to guard themselves against their falsehoods? Stay tuned for the answers, as we continue our series of messages titled "Truth Above All."
The outline of the book of Colossians can be summarized in three words: Christ's preeminence declared, defended, and demonstrated. In chapter one, the Apostle Paul declares the preeminence of Jesus Christ in all things - the Gospel, the creation, the Church, Christian ministry, and the world to come. In chapter two, he defends the preeminence of Christ against Satan's triple threats of worldly philosophy, legalism, and man-made doctrines. In chapters three and four, Paul sets forth the preeminence of Christ as it is to be demonstrated in the life and thinking of every believer.
In chapters three and four, we shall see that the Christian's conduct, character, home life, work, witness, and service - every aspect of our living and thinking - must be a daily, practical demonstration of the preeminence of the Lord Jesus Christ to our fellow believers and the watching world. He must be preeminent in all these things, because He must be preeminent in us.

Is it the job of Christians to reclaim the cultures of this present world? What does the Bible say about this? Stay tuned for the answer from God's Word, as we enter a new phase of our study of the book of Colossians.

We must let Scripture be its own interpreter.
The account of the incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ in Luke chapter two is one of the great turning points in all of history.
