Man in his natural estate deems himself self-sufficient. An individual is profited from the Scriptures when they reveal to him his need of Christ.
Christ is indeed a "mystery" to the unbelieving world - completely misunderstood by the unregenerated mind.
Careful study of the Word will have truly supernatural effects on the believer's understanding of, and attitude toward, our loving and all-wise God.
